THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDICATOR LIGHTS AND WARNING LIGHTS
NISSAN MURANO INDICATOR LIGHTS
- Front Airbag Status Light-Â If you're front passenger seat isn't occupied, this light will appear to indicate that your passenger side airbag isn't active. This light will go away if it senses a passenger in the seat.
- Malfunction Indicator Light-Â This light has a variety of meanings which, most often, is a loose fuel cap. The other meaning is that there is an emission control problem with your vehicle.
- Turn Signal/Hazard Indicator-Â When this light appears, it simply means that you've activated your turn signal or hazard lights.
- Vehicle Dynamic Control OFF-Â This light will only come on if you've deactivated your VDC system. Push the switch to reactivate this system.

NISSAN MURANO WARNING LIGHTS
- Brake Warning Light- If this light appears, it means that you may have an insufficient level of brake fluid in your vehicle. It's recommended that you drive at a safe speed to your nearest Nissan dealer.
- Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light- This dashboard light indicates that your oil pressure is low. If the light flashes, you should pull over to safety and contact your authorized Nissan dealer.
- Power Steering Warning Light-Â This light will pop on if your power steering system isn't functioning properly. It's advised that steering will be extremely difficult in this condition, so continuing to drive is not recommended.
- Seat Belt Warning Light-Â When you don't have your seatbelt fastened, this light will appear.
- Supplemental Airbag Warning Light- If this light appears longer than 7 seconds after you've started your vehicle, it means that there's a problem with your supplemental airbag. If this occurs, you should contact your Nissan service department to have the system check and fixed.
